3 Inches of Blood - Long Live Heavy Metal

All hail the return of 3 Inches of Blood! For months now, I have been looking forward to “Long Live Heavy Metal”, the fifth album from these BC metal gods. I know Matt Buchan is foaming at the mouth to get his hands on “Long Live Heavy Metal”, and today is the day that he and the rest of the metal masses can finally get a taste. Fuck yeah! 3 Inches of Blood!

3 Inches of Blood cultivate a sound that is shiny new metal on the outside with a heart of NWOBHM beating strong from within. Cam Pipes’ voice epitomizes the spirit of all that is good about metal; it is strong, powerful and slices through eardrums like a hot knife through butter. The music masterfully weaves the landscape of the songs over which Cam sings bold tales of metal and high adventure. Can you tell I love these guys? Fuck yeah! 3 Inches of Blood!

If you think sword and sorcery is all these guys are about, think again. These guys are Canadian eh. What goes best with metal and beer? Hockey! My beloved Washington Capitals need to take away Ovechkin’s Euro dance music and start making the team practice to the new 3IOB track, “Leave it on the Ice.” Maybe that will pump them up enough to make sure we make the playoffs. It sure gets me pumped. Fuck yeah! 3 Inches of Blood!

Today is one of those days that are simply overflowing with new music releases. It is going to take me at least a week to get through all the great new music that came out today, but you should note that the one I reached for first was…? Fuck yeah! 3 Inches of Blood!
